The ALCLAD system (aluminum coating) in K-FLEX elastomeric foam insulation is a completed system of tubular or rolled elastomeric foam insulation covered by an aluminum coating.

This is done in order to protect against UV rays, increase the lifespan and efficiency of insulation, increase resistance to weather conditions and physical damage, and in some cases for beauty. In order to maintain flexibility, lightness and cost reduction, aluminum coating is used along with polymer film in these systems.

The installation speed is up to 40% faster when using coated insulation compared to sheeting.

The anti-UV feature is for reinforced coatings.
